Span-America CF8042 Pressure Guard CFT Bariatric Mattress

The PressureGuard CFT by SpanAmerica uses patented Constant Force Technology to automatically adjust the mattress's network of interconnected air cylinders and elasticized reservoirs to the appropriate, therapeutic levels for each patient, regardless of their weight or position on the surface.

This means no controls to adjust, no reliance on a power source and no generation of noise or heat. Plus, the PressureGuard CFT requires virtually no set-up, programming or maintenance. It wipes clean.

Use this mattress when:

• Treatment is needed for any stage pressure ulcer
  
• Patient is at high risk for skin breakdown or has a history of ulcers
  
• Patient has at least 2 ulcer-free weight-bearing positions
  
• Patient repositions infrequently
  
• Patient has poorly padded bony prominences
  

The PressureGuard CFT delivers customized pressure reduction comparable to a low air loss system, while providing the patient with a stable surface to function and maintain safe positions. It is a proven option for prevention in the high risk ICU/CCU environment and for care of the post-skin graft patient, but is also supremely effective for at-home users.

The PressureGuard CFT includes all the standard features of other PressureGuard products, including the patented Geo-Matt anti-shearing top surface, the exclusive Heel Slope feature and the Safety Edge stability bolster system.

All mattresses meet new Fire Barrier regulations, and NFPA 101, Cal 129 & 603, CFR 1632 & 1633 requirements.
