Purchased in 1979 by Mal Mixon and a group of investors, Invacare Corporation is a major medical equipment manufacturer headquartered in Elyria, Ohio. Invacare provides one of the most comprehensive lines of home care medical equipment to the health care and assisted living industries. Invacare's products include rehabilitation products such as custom power and manual wheelchairs and scooters, respiratory products such as oxygen systems and nebulizers, and a wide variety of standard products such as bath safety systems, walkers, wheelchairs, hospital and home care beds, and therapeutic support surfaces.
